World’s Tallest Building

The Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower) is a supertall skyscraper located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is predicted to be the world’s tallest man-made structure, as well as the tallest building by any means. The total budget for the Burj Dubai project is about $4.1 billion US and for the entire new ‘Downtown Burj Dubai’, $20 billion US. It is said that the price of office space at Burj Dubai had reached US$4,000 per sq ft and that the Armani Residences, also in Burj Dubai, were selling for US$3,500 per sq ft.
A record setting fountain system was designed for the Burj Dubai by the same company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. At $217 million, the fountain is illuminated by 6,600 lights and 50 colored projectors, it is 900ft long and is shooting water 490 ft into the air, accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music.
